A Speech Full of Emotions, Drama and Few Takeaways

Image
Donald Trump's victory speech was full of emotions, commitment, and hope. In the speech,  Trump recalled the two attempts on his life and told his supporters, "Many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason." He continued by saying that he is resolved to keep up his commitments to the American people and fight for them daily. His speech was full of emotions, drama, convictions, and vision. I personally feel that the news which was coming up was missing “The Indian Masala”. Just try to remember the news that was coming up at the time of our election results in 2024. Any way we can point out a few important takeaways from Donald Trump’s speech. Overcome all Obstacles: Trump said, "We have a country that needs help, and it needs help very badly. We're going to fix our borders. We're going to fix everything about our country and we've made history for a reason tonight. And the reason is going to be just that. We overcame obstacles that n...

India- US Relations: Will Trump Stop Pakistan Sponsered Terrorism?

Image
The return of Donald Trump is a desired result for India. As everyone knows, Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have a close relationship. "I am not going to start wars; I am going to stop them," declared Donald Trump in his victory speech. Since we want total peace in our neighbourhood, this has given Indians hope. India is extremely concerned about the recent events in Bangladesh. We are worried about the radicalism and fundamentalism in Bangladesh. It is well known that the "deep State" and the "US" were involved in overthrowing PM Sheikh Hasina's government. Can we infer from Donald Trump's remarks that his administration would take significant and stringent measures to combat Pakistan-sponsored terrorism? During his first tenure, although it was not consistent, Donald Trump's presidency represented a shift in US policy toward Pakistan. Due to the Trump administration's requirement for collaboration with Pakistan on the A...

Understanding Kamala Harris’s Defeat

Image
With his overwhelming victory, Donald Trump will become the 47th President of the United States. Donald Trump's win indicates that Americans still need to catch up in electing female presidents. Despite being the oldest democracy, America has yet to produce a female president, or, to put it another way, they do not believe that it should. Everyone is talking about Trump's win and how it will affect other nations, but we can also concentrate on Kamala Harris's electoral defeat. Analyzing this will reveal a few key elements that contributed to her loss. The absence of effective leadership in the party over the last four years is a major factor in the evident disenchantment that many Democratic voters have with Harris's campaign. This ambiguity, primarily from Harris's vague policy statements, actually led some voters to view Trump as the better option. It's possible that this general perceived weakness in the party's leadership hindered her ability to get s...

Hindus Hold Massive Protest in Canada

Image
More than a thousand members of the Canadian Hindu community gathered in Brampton on Tuesday to express worries about the rising violence against Hindus in the country following a Khalistani attack on a Hindu temple. Participants from around Ontario came to the peaceful demonstration outside the Hindu Sabha Mandir, one of the biggest temples in Canada, to call for responsibility and safety. According to the demonstrators, the purpose of the solidarity event is to pressure Canadian law enforcement and politicians to stop aiding Khalistanis. In addition to demanding safety and accountability, the demonstrators from all around Ontario were waving saffron flags and the Indian tricolor while singing anti-Khalistani extremist slogans and voicing their displeasure with the Justin Trudeau administration. The Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA) organized these protests, claiming that there were several attacks on Hindu temples across Canada over the Diwali weekend and callin...

Fractured Relations: What’s Next for India and Canada?

Image
The death of a Sikh separatist on Canadian land has escalated tensions between India and Canada, leading to the expulsion of their top diplomats, a new low in their traditionally friendly relationship. Although there have been tense arguments in the past, none have escalated to this degree of direct conflict. Following PM Justin Trudeau's assertion that Canadian police were looking into claims of Indian agents' and the Indian government's direct participation in the June 2023 killing, the tit-for-tat expulsions took place. The greatest Sikh diaspora outside of the Indian state of Punjab is found in Canada, where there are about 770,000 Sikhs. Relations between the two nations are still strained by Sikh separatism, which has its roots in a violent rebellion that took place in India in the 1980s and early 1990s. Delhi has harshly criticized Canada for not doing more to stop the pro-Khalistan agitation inside its borders. Canada claims that India has been keeping an eye on...
