The United States has announced an additional USD 100 million to Pakistan for its recovery and reconstruction efforts after the devastating floods last year that killed 1,739 and affected 33 million people. US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu told a congressional panel on Tuesday that the allocation will be used to strengthen democracy, fight terrorism, stabilize the country’s economy and prevent Pakistan's reliance on China in FY25.
