US aid Millions to Pakistan: "हाथी के दांत खाने कुछ और दिखाने के और होते है"

 The United States has announced an additional USD 100 million to Pakistan for its recovery and reconstruction efforts after the devastating floods last year that killed 1,739 and affected 33 million people.

US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu told a congressional panel on Tuesday that the allocation will be used to strengthen democracy, fight terrorism, stabilize the country’s economy and prevent Pakistan's reliance on China in FY25.

Lu said the US wants to prevent Islamabad's "further overreliance" on Beijing. “China is the past in terms of investment; we are the future,” he added.

The Biden administration official said that the US has been struggling to compete with China in the region, with Beijing expanding its military and commercial foothold in the Indo-Pacific.

In my opinion, it is common knowledge that the United States of America is not a person's buddy. For self-serving reasons, the US constantly modifies its approach. The US is always unpredictable, but for India, it acts like a true strategic partner. To maintain its status as a superpower, the US has its own foreign policies and strategies.

US assistance to Pakistan is nothing new. It's been doing this for a very long time. The United States opposes China's dominance in the Indo-Pacific area. President Biden announced this aid to confront China. Their statement makes it quite evident that they intend to restrict China's presence in Pakistan and other areas.

The assistance provided to "fight terrorism and promote democracy" is the other aspect that I must bring out. As is well known, Pakistan's democracy is constantly threatened by the armed forces. The Pakistani army is using the pretext of democracy to maintain total control over everything. The history of Pakistan demonstrates how frequently the army overthrew the democratically elected government. The idea that the help will be utilized to advance democracy is unthinkable.

Furthermore, Pakistan would get assistance in combating terrorism. This is something that amused me. Does Pakistan actually combat terrorism? Will the nation that consistently supports terrorists oppose terrorism? We have forgotten that the US killed Osama Bin Laden, the most wanted terrorist in Pakistan. He had spent years in hiding in Pakistan. It is so hard to comprehend that the help is being utilized to put an end to terrorism

People like us are suffering greatly as a result of Pakistan's backing for terrorism. This issue has persisted since our independence and continues to endanger our internal security. However, it's also conceivable that the money or assistance will be used to raise the threat of terrorism in India, especially in Jammu and Kashmir.

Thus, US assistance to Pakistan is really a theatrical prop. In actuality, the US seeks to sever ties with China. The aid has been announced because the US is attempting to thwart China in any manner.
