Chhatrapati Shivaji's "Wag Nakh" arrives in Mumbai: What We can Learn?

  The ' wagh nakh ' or tiger claw-shaped weapon used by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was brought to Mumbai from a London museum , state Culture Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar said. This  wagh nakh  will now be taken to Satara in western Maharashtra and put on display starting Friday. "The   wagh nakh  has landed," Mr Mungantiwar said but did not divulge any further details. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Maharashtra Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar and the Victoria and Albert Museum was signed in London to bring the renowned Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's tiger claw Wagh Nakh to India. In Hindi, "Wagh Nakh" signifies a tiger's claw. Wagh Nakh can be worn over the knuckles or tucked under and up against the palm. It has four or five curved blades that are fastened to a crossbar or glove, allowing it to sever through flesh and muscle.
