S jaishankar goes "The India Way": A Message to China

A clear message was given by EAM S Jaishankar to China. S Jaishankar also stated that the QUAD countries will work together to uphold the free and open rules-based international order and respect the principle of freedom, human rights, sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations.

To this China reacted in an agitating manner and blamed India for creating tension, inciting confrontation in the Indo Pacific region.

Now China’s role in Asia Pacific is well known to the world. China’s policy is to extend its territorial border and to become a powerful country. China has also blamed the US along with India. But our EAM has once again given back strongly to China. This message is also a sign of India’s foreign policy and strategy.

As the world struggles to uphold a rules-based order, only the cooperation of the Quad nations can guarantee that the Indo-Pacific region remains free, open, stable, and secure, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated on Monday amid mounting concerns about China's maritime coercion.

In his opening statement at the Quad Foreign Ministers Meeting here, Jaishankar said Quad members have significant additional responsibilities.

"As political democracies, pluralistic societies and market economies, there is the key question of upholding a rules-based order," he said.

The long-pending idea of forming the Quad to create a new plan to maintain the important sea routes in the Indo-Pacific free of any influence took shape in November 2017 with the participation of Australia, Japan, India, and the US. At the meeting point of the Pacific and Indian Oceans is the South China Sea.

The majority of the South China Sea is claimed by China, however Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei, and the Philippines all have competing claims to the sea region. China and Japan have a maritime conflict in the East China Sea. These are difficult times, and ensuring global economic growth while reducing risk is a big challenge, according to Jaishankar's comments.

This is what according to S Jaishankar "The India Way".
