Hiroshima Day: A Reminder for the World

Hiroshima Day, observed annually on August 6, commemorates the horrific event that occurred in 1945 when an atomic bomb fell on Hiroshima, Japan, causing extensive damage and a high death toll. This year is the 79th year that the globe commemorates the day that changed the course of history.

On this day, we should not forget the devastating consequences of nuclear weapons and the pressing need to remove these weapons of mass devastation from the planet. Hiroshima Day is also observed to remember the vast number of people who died in the Hiroshima bombing and to reflect on the humanitarian consequences of nuclear war.

The city was totally destroyed in the terrible event of 1945, and the nation was forced to grapple with its terrible destiny. On this day, it is crucial to remind all global politicians, diplomats, and envoys that all wars are awful, that nuclear conflicts pose a greater threat to human life, and that the only viable course for the twenty-first century is diplomacy. However, despite all attempts, the globe hasn’t cleansed itself of the weapons of mass devastation with several countries in possession of them.

On this day, when the globe prays for peace, we all yearn for it. This day is a reminder for all that there is no place for violence and destruction in human civilization. India has always stood steadfast in establishing peace whenever possible. India possesses nuclear power and it was clear that India will never use it for destruction but if India has to respond it then India will never think back. This was suggested as our neighbour Pakistan is continually threatening India with the nuclear bomb they possessed.

Hiroshima Day is also a lesson to Bangladesh. The great violence and instability the people are enduring should open their eyes to view once again back in history. What Japan has endured throughout WW 2. Those countries and fanatics who are using Bangladesh for their selfish aims would never think about the human loss that is happening in Bangladesh. The sufferings and grief will stay unacknowledged by these so-called “Deep States”.
